Posted in Celebrity & Entertainment, Disney with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on January 28, 2010 by Alan + Mei-Mei the pug

Remember those handsome, animated, Disney Princes you used to crush on when you were little? (Admit it ! you do! And mine very first crush was Prince Eric from Little Mermaid). Here they are again, back in full force and all sexed up in nothing but tight, small underwear, showing off their masculine muscles & “Fully Loaded” package !

Prince Eric from “Little Mermaid”

Disney is all about the princesses! And the early years of Disney Princess are usually more passive and have this mentality that one day her prince will come for her, but usually at the end in a “what took you so long” kinda rescue. I am glad now the new generations of Disney Princess are more independent & more of a “Self-Rescuing” kinda woman.

Prince Adam from “Beauty & the Beast”

But admit it, you have your eyes set on those hunky, handsome Prince and secretly envy of those Princess totally scored! Haha well these images are from an artist name David Kawena, he has artfully illustrated those Disney PRINCE in the way that none of us has ever seen before ( and was only for the eyes of those damn lucky princess who snag them in the fairy tales stories haha ).

James Marsden as Prince Edward from “Enchanted”

Oh yes!! These illustrations are getting me HOT & Bothered! Haha and I’m not ashamed! A friend of mine one day emailed me one of these drawings and I laughed so hard, yet was kinda turned on. I mean they are soooo hot!! So I had to find more and I found out it was a whole series. I can’t pick which one is my favorite! Price Eric with his Ariel “Fish Fetish” Tattoo, Hercules lookin all manly and swole,

Price Phillip and his perfectly coiffed prince hair and firm booty,

Prince Philip from “Sleeping Beauty”

Prince Naveen (from the new Disney movie Princess & the frog) killer smile and hot bod

Prince Naveen – The Frog Prince

Shang in his fighting stance….

Shang from “Mulan”

look at Phoebus from The Hunchback of Notre Dame, even tho he is not a prince but damn! That sexy goat-T facial hair and washboard abs…

Phoebus from “The Hunchback of Notre Dame”

OMG!! how can I not mention super hunky John Smith from Pocahontas….. I’ll go to England with you and be your queen!! LOL

John Smith from “Pocahontas”

Tarzan’s killer abs, I bet he can “party” like an animal! haha

Tarzan

Milo J. Thatch from “Atlantis”

David from “Lilo and Stitch”

Kocoum from Pocahontas

Jim from Treasure Island

Gaston from “Beauty & Beast”

How can we forget our arabia prince Aladdin?….. I wanna ride your magic carpet!! LOL

I never thought I’d be so turned on by Disney cartoon characters but now I will secretly having lustful dirty thoughts when I watch my favorite Disney princess movies! haha

We hope you enjoy as much as I did with these fabulous artworks by David Kwaena.

Mother Nature Inspired Fashions

Posted in Alexander McQueen, Nature & Animal Inspired on January 26, 2010 by Alan + Mei-Mei the pug

Nature has always been a fine inspirer for fashion designers and artists. Designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy from their fashion house “Rodarte” took the concept to a whole new level when they drew upon the graceful and fierce Siamese fighting fish for their latest fall/winter 2008 collection.

The delicate flowy dresses seemed to even have emulated the fragile silhouettes of the exotic fish as well as the vivid yet soothing colors of the marine beauty.

The stunning collection is infused with an extraordinary joie di vivir (The joy of living) that contagiously spills over to each and every design making every dress as special as if it were crafted by some ethereal force of nature itself.

Gothic Chic & Dark Glamour

Posted in Chanel, D.L. & Co., Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Ferragamo, Gothic Chic & Dark Glamour, Haute Couture, Jean Paul Gaultier, Salvatore Ferragamo, Valentino, Versace with tags , , , , , , , on January 17, 2010 by Alan + Mei-Mei the pug

As a fashion designer, I’m inspired by many things around me. The imagery of a photo, scenery, sounds & musics, movies… just about everything! In recent conversations with a good friend of mine on facebook about “Goth” and it inspired me to google some imageries and articles about this mysterious & fascinating lifestyle which has inspired many arts & fashions.

So what is “Goth”? in simple definitions: To some, Goth is a style of dressing; to others it’s a lifestyle. Either way, the gothic look involves very black clothing and very white makeup with edgy, tough accessories. Prime example of classic gothic style: Musician – Marilyn Mansion. But as a person with an inquiring mind ( yes I do read the trashy gossip enquirer magazine ok! Haha) I know it has to be deeper than just the black clothing, smoky eye make-ups and of course ever so dreamy vampire Robert Pattinson aka “Edward Cullen” from the hit movie “Twilight”.

So after some googling, according to Goth.net

“Most Goths become Goths because they have been spurned by ‘normal’ society because the way they want to live their lives does not fit in with how most people are told to live theirs. Goths are free thinkers, people who do not accept the moral rules of society because they’re told ‘This is just how it is’ or ‘This is what God says!’. Rather Goths tend to listen to what you have to say, and make up their own mind..”

But of course this is not the case for all Goths. Many Goths today are Goths for a variety of other reasons. They like the music, or the clubs are better, they have Goth friends and joined in with them, or they just like staying up late nights and Goths are the only ones awake to talk to.

To us the fashionistas, the theme “Goth” has inspired many fashion designers over the years and here are some of the collections I think are super fabulous & go with our topic perfectly!

Junya Watanabe

Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2005

Rick Owens Fall 2006 Collection

When John Galliano was traveling south to research his couture collection during summer of 2005 he was inspired with the French Revolution stories & history, so in Dior’s Spring 2006 Couture show, blood- and gore-spattered drama was the theme and to me, it’s also very “Goth Glam” ,too!

Christian Dior 2006 Spring Haute Couture

Harper’s Bazaar Magazine October 2009 & Film Maker Tim Burton

As if Tim Burton’s characters all got together and did a fashion photoshoot, this amazing pictorial for the October edition of Harper’s Bazaar features characters from his past movies like The Night Before Christmas, Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice and more, all look amazing in designer clothing and shoes.

Of course how can we end this “Dark Glamorous” posting without mentioning one of my favorite designer Alexander McQueen!

Alexander McQueen 2007 Fall & Winter

In this collection, McQueen had put a heartfelt personal passion into a collection that was based on a startling revelation from his family history. His mother, who traces family trees, discovered that her bloodline leads back to a victim of the Salem witch trials who was hanged in the Puritan hysteria of 1692. The themes of witchcraft, paganism, and religious persecution played on the dark and angry side of McQueen’s creativity.

Here is a video of Alexander McQueen 2007 Fall & Winter totally fabulously spooky fashion show
